Even though I am in the peak wedding time right now I have been thinking that it is time I catch up with some of the exciting things that have happened this year. One of them being back in May, the Abia Awards. I had the pleasure of attending as I had been nominated again this year. The Abia’s are an industry award that recognises excellence within the wedding industry across Australia for all wedding suppliers and services. Votes are provided by Bride’s and there are several categories in which each supplier is scored on. In 2008 I came 2nd in Qld for Bridal Make up Artist of the year. This year being even closer if you can believe a tenth of a percent! I managed to secure 2nd again in Qld. The winner being from Brisbane sees retrospectively that Kim Image Specialist as the top supplier for Bridal Make up on the Sunshine Coast, something I am very proud and pleased with. With scores being so close in all categories this year it just goes to show the quality of suppliers that are dominating the field now. Evalyn Parson’s backed it up again winning Bridal hairdresser of the year for the second year in a row. Congratulations Ev and well done for the Sunny Coast!
