Frequently asked Questions- Kim Image Specialist

How do I secure a booking for my wedding day?

A 20% non refundable deposit is required to guarantee any bookings. This will come off the total on the invoice and the balance is then payable one week prior to the date.

* Refunds will not be given to bookings that are cancelled a month out from the day and cancellation fees may apply.  Please refer to the terms and conditions on your quote or invoice.

Is a make up trial necessary?

A trial is not compulsary but it is advisable. It will give you the opportunity to have a consultation with Kim and set some general ideas and plans for the day. It will also allow Kim to analyse your features and chat to you about any concerns so that she can put you in the best make up that is suited to your skin type, colouring and themes you may want to stick with for the day. It will also give you a chance to see how the make up will last and wear throughout the day and you will be able to provide feedback if needed to get your desired result.

Will my make up last all day?

Most certainly! There a few key elements that Kim uses as standard application that will ensure the longevity and all day freshness of your make up. A primer is one of the most important of these, this prepares the skin for the foundation and allows the make up a nice, even and smooth application. This goes hand in hand with the very best of products that Kim uses- make up that is built for catwalk and professional photography- so no matter what look you are after the quality of these products will feel amazing all day, photograph fantastically and not budge even on the warmest day.

How can I prepare my skin for the big day?

There are a number of things that you can do to make sure that your skin looks and feels it’s absolute best for your wedding. Invest in a skin routine that is suited to your skin type,  you can get onto some wonderful products that are designed to even out your skin tone, smooth your complexion and most importantly provide hydration to ensure that you are radiant and glowing.  You don’t have to spend a fortune to do this, there are plenty of products available to suit all budgets and Kim can recommend some of these to you on the day of your consultation. Great skin will determine how your make up will go on and also look on your wedding day. A series of professional treatments such as microdermabrasion are also highly recommended a few months beforehand, giving you optimum results for a beautiful looking and feeling skin. Lastly but not least as this is one that is commonly overlooked, drinking as much water as you can will definitley benefit you and your skins appearance and condition.
